I'm still alive!!

Wow!! It's amazing how time flies!!! Anyway, there is not a lot to report from here.
On work, everything is good, tutoring my "tushy" off everyday of the week!!
I'm actually very excited because I'm going to start a course on Graphic Design which has been a dream of mine since I graduated high school. For some reason I took the easy road and went into Education instead. I don't regret my choice, but I wonder sometimes what would have happened if I had taken the other path and went on to study what I really wanted in the first place.
I am a complete believer in the fact that 18 year olds are too young to make such an enourmous decision as to what they want to do for the rest of their lives. But then again, I guess you can always change your mind, right?;)

Changing the subject. Has anyone seen Lady in the Water by, whom I believe is one of the greatest storytellers ever!! Mr. M. Night Shyamalan?
Well I have, and I can honestly say I was highly dissapointed!! I thought Signs was a bad run (then again it had Mel Gibson, how good a movie could it be!!) However, not only was the story a little vague to me, but it starred Paul Giamatti, Bryce Dallas Howard and the frigging MICROPHONE!!! What was that all about?? Most of the scenes have one or more microphones peeking from above. Now, how is one supposed to focus on the story when you can clearly see the props!!! Awful!!
For a moment there, I convinced myself that he was doing it on purpose. You know, one of his "tricks" or "clues" that we have all grown accostumed to. But no!! There it was, the microphone on the screen the whole movie!! Talk about distraction!!
It just didn't feel like he made an effort to make this film. At least not as much as he did with his other movies.
It's like when I went to see that disaster of a movie called Hostel. I was naive enough to understand that because it said "Quentin Tarantino Presents" that this was actually a Tarantino movie, who happens to be another one of my favorite directors. I understand he does not make fairy tales or "chick flicks", but that was one of the most disgusting movies I have ever had the horror of watching!! It was so disgusting that hearing a person whistling still gives me the creeps!
I guess everybody hits a rut in their careers, even famous film makers!! Hm.. I don't feel so alone anymore. Maybe Quentin and Night should come and take the sabbatical with me. Afterwards, maybe we can all resume our previous professions and do some quality work again!!!
Now guys.... that's a DARE!!! LOL
